Our country house opened its doors on July 1, 2017 to all travellers looking for a rural and peaceful accommodation, in a unique natural environment that was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1984.

Aceite de oliva virgen extra aromatizado con esencia de brasas.
Hemos captado la esencia del fuego, de la madera, de sus aromas y matices profundos de sabores a “brasa”… y lo hemos incorporado de forma natural (mediante una infusión a baja temperatura) a nuestro aceite – un aceite de por sí excelente, de oliva virgen extra – para que en cualquier momento podáis disfrutar de la esencia de brasa en vuestra mesa.

We would like to share with everyone how lucky we are, living in the surroundings of Ea (Bizkaia). Therefore, we are doing our best so that those who visit us feel at home in the Urdaibai Etxea country house, and help them to enjoy this accommodation and everything that this environment has to offer, which is a lot, and very close.
From the country house itself, you can practice several sports, such as hiking and cycling. And, if you fancy another kind of adventure, during your stay you can practice scuba diving, paddle-surfing, surfing, horse riding, or just taking a dip on the beach of Ea (Bizkaia).
As for our gastronomy, there are several restaurants in the area of Bizkaia where you can taste typical local dishes, with a wide range of types of cuisine and prices that will surely suit all tastes.

Biosphere Reserve
The Urdaibai Etxea country house is located on the edge of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.
The Reserve includes the estuary where the Oka River flows, its wetlands and its seabed. Because of its natural value, it was recognized by UNESCO and protected accordingly in 1984.
In Urdaibai, landscapes that are full of contrasts and of great beauty await you.

Bizkaia, where our accommodation is located, is a fascinating region: because of its sea and inland landscapes, its villages, its ancestral culture that still reaches us today, its gastronomy…
